Subject to further confirmation, I've heard women carry more than 10,000 eggs in their ovaries, but only a few make it to the Falopian Tubes, and even less into babies.

Hey thanks for the comments. If what you've heard is true, it means that a woman has to be very energetic to run out of eggs, right?
But it still makes me wonder howcome some women have to be treated for their impossibility to have children.

woulddn't it be wise to estimate the amount a bit lower or at least save some of them ?

The amount of eggs you use has nothing to do with sex or energy. Every month, when we bleed, we shed an egg, whether we're sexually active or not. Menopause, around the age of 40 or 50, is when we start to run out off eggs. It is our body's reaction to the chemical change of less horemones. - Carlee
